Who we are

I’ve always been drawn to the sea—it’s what led me to join the Coast Guard and build a life on the water. When my plans to start an oyster farm in Gloucester were shut down, I felt defeated. But as I looked out at the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, I realized something: this place already produces some of the best seafood in the world. The salt must be just as incredible.

That’s how Gloucester Saltworks was born. Using traditional, time-honored methods, I hand-harvest pure Atlantic seawater and let nature take its course, creating small-batch sea salt that’s clean, crisp, and full of New England character. No additives, no shortcuts—just the pure essence of the ocean, ready to elevate any dish.

I’m still refining my craft, and the first batches will be available soon. Follow along as I bring this vision to life—I’d love to have you on this journey.
